David Walker Obituary

Mr. David Walker, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. 

Born in Timmonsville, SC, he was a son of the late Darrell and Beatrice Knotts Walker. He retired from Vulcraft after 35 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening and playing golf with his special friends who were like brothers, Marion King (Sharon), Jim Porter (Carolyn). He even traveled to other countries with them. He was a wonderful papa and loved to watch his grands play ball. David will be missed beyond measure. 

Surviving are his wife, Joni Ham Walker, children, Mitch Walker (Karen), Scarlett Lutz-Huggins (Robert); stepchildren, Everette Watford (Kaci), Andy Watford (Sandy), April Windham (Carl); sister, Ann Lee (Gene); 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Caleb Lutz; brother, Billy Walker (Hirfa); and two special friends, Jim Porter and Calvin Vause.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the First Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Lee Patrick will officiate with burial to follow in Walker Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church,
