Florence, SC, - Stanley de Roche, age 90, previously of Upper Arlington, Ohio, died Friday March 2, 2018 in Florence, SC.
He retired after 46 years with National City Bank, formerly Banc Ohio National Bank. Stanley made the most of his retirement years building clocks, bookshelves, bookends, cheeseboards, carving ducks and making toaster tongs, which he shared with almost everyone he met. He was an Eagle Scout and a WWII US Navy Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. and Hilda V. de Roche and his wife of 60 years, Barbara F. de Roche.
Survived by his six children, Rebecca Eubanks (Hunter) Tampa, FL, Jeffrey (Madelyn) Erie, CO, Lorraine (James Cooke), Florence, SC, Jennifer, Wilmington NC, John, Hilliard, OH and Philip (Kim) Galloway, OH and by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, Joseph H. (Mary Jane) Columbus, OH and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence SC.
